WC and WaSC’s have received a great volume of press coverage in recent years surrounding the issues they face with regards to incorrect disposal of products down sewers, particularly FOG. (Fats, Oils and Grease).
WRc has long been at the forefront of research and innovation to combat the result of incorrect waste disposals of networks, causing blockages and fatburgs.
Our ‘Waste’ modules are designed to educate WaSC operators and FOG producers to improve sewer operations.
- Fog Management for Food Establishments. Duration: 1 day
The training module for food establishments dealing with FOG disposal and covers as to which legislation and standards are applicable, how to choose the most appropriate FOG removal equipment and which suppliers/manufacturers are reputable and offer advice based on a case by case basis.
- FOG for Sewer Operators. Duration: 1 day
The training module for water company personnel dealing with food establishments who require education in the correct form FOG disposal and covers as to which legislation and standards are applicable, how to recommend the most appropriate FOG removal equipment and which suppliers/manufacturers are reputable and offer advice based on a case by case basis.
- Waste Water Metering
To increase understanding of wastewater metering technologies and how to improve the collection of flow data from drain to river.
