Fine to Flush is brought to the NHS

On 4th July WRc's Asset Management team went on the road to the NEC to exhibit at the NHS "Procurement for Healthcare" conference to share the benefits of the new Fine to Flush specification.


The Fine to Flush certification was shared with attendees to demonstrate how this important standard and development for the water industry and manufactureres can be utilised by the NHS to support the environment and our water infrastructure.

WRc hosts Pipeline Seminar and Pumping Station User Group

WRc hosted a research seminar titled "Recent advances in liner performance and design" on the 4th and 5th July. The programme included sessions on pipeline liners for sewers and water and gas mains so covers non-pressure and pressure applications. It was attended by delegates from 7 UK Water and Sewerage Companies and International experts from Canada, Germany and Australia. The event features a distinguished guest speaker: Professor Ian Moore of Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario.

WRc were pleased to host the first of the Sewage Pumping Station User Group, hosted with five water company sewage pumping experts. The aim of the group is to discuss best practice, common experience and ongoing trends in the field of Sewage Pumping. Specifically there were discussions of new technologies, smart networks, pumping station design and barriers to proactive maintenance.

Wet Networks London - 17th July


WRc would like to extend the invitation to the Wet Networks London at the ARUP offices at 8 Fitzroy Street on Wednesday 17th July from 4:30pm with the Keynote being given by Andrea Gysin of Thames Water.


These events create a platform for organisations with interesting water technology innovations, to connect to funders and those with water technology needs. Wet Networks events provide a medium for networking and the exchange of ideas between senior players in the water technology sector.
