On Thursday 31st January WRc took its popular Innovation Day on the road to Peterborough to support Anglian Water and the Institute of Water Eastern Area Showcase. The event was a huge success with innovative technological, catchment management and customer service solutions demonstrating the very latest in solution support for the water sector. With visitors from within Anglian and the wider community such as contractors, engineers and other water companies, the event was hugely popular with many productive and though provoking discussions taking place. It was enormously enjoyable and received well by all, and WRc looks forward to returning again in the future.
The highlight of the event was the keynote presentation by Steve Kaye, UKWIR, discussing the importance of Innovation and Invention to develop and support improvement and development along with looking outside the sector to others such as retail to enhance customer service. Our thanks to Steve for his time and thought provoking presentation.
WRc would also like to congratulate ecoIOT and their FIDO Leakage detection solution which was voted as the most popular innovation at yesterdays event by its attendees. They will now be put forward to the Institute of Water Annual Awards.
Innovation Day on the road's next stop is at the end of February at Welsh Water.
