This week Robert Pitchers attended the 22nd Meeting of the European Reference Network on Critical Infrastructure Protection Thematic Group on Chemical and Biological Risks in the Water Sector. The group is workings towards producing a water security plan to enable water utilities to respond effectively to intentional and inadvertent contamination of drinking water. The meeting was hosted by The International Research Centre On Water and Environment (C.I.R.S.E.E.) in Paris. A highlight of the trip was a visit to the Palace of Versailles and to go behind the scenes and look at the distribution system that supplies water to the spectacular fountains.
