We are delighted to welcome Sonia Home, Chief Executive at C-me, as a Non-Executive Member of the WRc Board.
Sonia studied at Cambridge University, gaining a Starred Double First in Anthropology and Theology. Her interest in communication led her first to television programme making, including for the South Bank Show, an award winning multi-faith programme and a presenting slot on ITV’s Sunday Morning.
Choosing to communicate with and for slightly smaller audiences, Sonia moved into training and professional development, including training and leading Macmillan’s helpline team. This led ultimately to two consecutive roles as Chief Executive of National Charities. Here she launched a national awareness week, rebranded, negotiated with NHS Trusts and doubled income and supporter base within three years. Seeing the impact that clear communication of vision had, Sonia sought to enable this for others as a consultant and coach.
Looking for a tool that helped strengthen teams and enabled good communication, Sonia was introduced to C-me, a behavioral profiling tool and consultancy company which she is delighted to lead today. Sonia is passionate about people knowing and using their strengths and communicating effectively with others. She lives in Bristol with her husband Oliver and their children Seth, Micah and Isla.
Ron Chapman, Chairman of WRc, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sonia to the WRc Board. Her experience will be invaluable in helping WRc meet the challenges of recruitment and retention of staff, during a period of rapid growth.”
