On Monday 21st May the Commercial Team from WRc went to Birmingham NEC to prepare for this years Utility Week Live. This has long been a key date in the calendar for WRc, providing the opportunity to meet, engage with, hear and share thoughts and innovations from across the utility sector, and this year, having completed the wider rebranding of WRc, we were excited to be sharing our new look, backed with our extensive history at the event.
On the Monday night the WRc team, along with our guest Joanna Watchman from ContentComs, attended the Water Industry Awards dinner at The Vox. It was a wonderful evening, with guest speaker Helen Lederer presenting the awards throughout. Our congratulations to all the winners and finalists and their well deserved recognition for the variety and dedicated work being done across the water sector.
Tuesday and Wednesday Stand D34 was busy with activity, meetings and conversations surrounding a wide range of topics and issues affecting the water and wider utility sectors. Our team was on hand to answer any questions, and certainly our stand itself, created by set designers IdealDisplays, sparked curiosity and conversations.
Finally a number of our team presented at UWL and edie Live, Simon Clarke on Catchment Management, Philippa Roberts on Circular Economy and Simon Ayley on the importance of Asset Resilience, joining esteemed panels of speakers and sharing WRc's experience across the topics of water, resource and catchment management.
