Modelling Catchment Interventions to Tackle Diffuse Pollution from Agriculture

Posted by DeniseB January 28, 2014 Categories: Latest News

Defra has commissioned WRc to undertake a Rapid Evidence Assessment of modelling studies predicting water quality outcomes in surface freshwaters, groundwater and coastal waters from catchment interventions to reduce diffuse pollution from agriculture.

The study will assist Defra in refreshing its policy toolkit for addressing agricultural impacts on the water environment. This includes considering what measures to support in the future and whether to do so through regulation, voluntary measures or incentives.
