WRc is delighted to announce that Leo Carswell, Head of Technology at WRc has been appointed as Chairman of The Sensors for Water Interest Group (SWIG). Leo is well qualified to lead SWIG as a Chartered Scientist with a PhD in instrumentation for water quality monitoring and has wide ranging experience in sensors and instrumentation for water, wastewater and environmental applications. At WRc, Leo provides expert advice on instrumentation related issues to a wide range of Water Utilities, private companies including manufacturers and public agencies.
SWIG is a not for profit, knowledge-exchange and networking group with a diverse UK-wide membership. They hold workshops covering all aspects of water sensing.
You can meet Leo at WWEM in November 2014 where WRc will be hosting the demonstration area with live MCERTS testing, over 20 suppliers and the Instrument User Group. This is a great opportunity for industry to see cutting edge research into sensing in water, meet the researchers themselves and thereby promote innovation in sensor research and commercial application.
