Isambard Community School is situated in North Swindon at the heart of Redhouse Community. They currently have just over eleven hundred students aged between eleven and sixteen years. Their state-of-the-art facilities include a fully functioning television studio, radio station, recording studio, interactive whiteboards in every classroom, a well-stocked learning resources centre, several Mac computer suites, dance studio and music practice rooms. Their reputation as a media specialist school gave rise to a visit from the BBC Radio One Breakfast Show team. Students formed the audience for a live broadcast with Nick Grimshaw and were treated to performances by Little Mix and Bastille. Whilst they are a relatively new school, they follow traditional House and Tutor systems. They encourage our students to take an active part in the running of the school and have Tutor Representatives, Prefects and a Student Leadership Team.
Isambard students will be documenting the Innovation Day with the use of video and photography as well as artwork based on the designs and products they have seen during the day.
