WRc Corporate Policies

WRc Quality Policy

WRc operates a Quality Management System certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2008 by National Quality Assurance Ltd, certificate number 17198.

It is the policy of WRc to achieve and maintain a high standard of quality in all aspects of its operation and in the services it offers to customers. WRc aims to ensure customers needs are clearly understood and met through close liaison at all stages of work.

All work is conducted to a high professional standard with technical and commercial integrity. All projects managed by WRc are undertaken according to contract specific project plans.

Ultimate responsibility within WRc rests with the Board of Directors. The Quality Manager, as a management representative is resonsible for all aspects of the Quality Management System.

WRc Environmental Policy

Concern for the environment is an integral part of WRc’s business strategy. A substantial part of WRc’s business relates to environmental protection and a key objective is to ensure that all clients get the best available advice.

WRc is committed to the prevention of pollution and to continual improvement. WRc is focussed on the following areas where continual reduction in impact would be most beneficial:

  • Energy use
  • Water use and wastewater generation
  • Business travel
  • Waste generation and disposal
  • Chemical use

WRc has established procedures to monitor and control these environmental impacts and has set targets to achieve continual improvement. Progress is reviewed regularly by senior management .

To assist in achieving its environmental objectives, WRc has implemented a Environmental Management System accredited to BS EN ISO 14001:2004 by National Quality Assurance Ltd., certificate number E3208.

WRc Health and Safety

WRc plc is committed to achieving high standards of health and safety for our staff and those affected by the work performed for our clients.

The Board of WRc, the Chief Executive Officer, and the management team appointees are supported and assisted by the Health and Safety Officer and the Corporate Safety Committee.

Active participation by employees is encouraged by the Corporate Safety Committee, whose functions include: promoting effective measures health, safety and welfare measures throughout the Company’s activities.

The WRc group is registered on the Achilles Utilities Vendor Database which provides supplier management information to utility purchasing organisations in sectors such as:

  • Power generation, transmission and distribution (including nuclear)
  • Water and wastewater
  • Telecommunications
  • Petrochemical
  • Gas
