• Online Water Efficiency Calculator to support Building Regulations launched in support of "The Code for Sustainable Homes" and is endorsed by LABC and the Building Control Alliance
• Improving Selection of FOG Minimisation and Food Waste Composting Products. WRc Approved™ scheme extended to include fats, oils and grease (FOG) minimisation and food waste composting products.
• Network Performance Viewer proves itself as an essential asset information planning and operational tool for Severn Trent Water.
• Energy monitoring goes non-intrusive. An exciting project on Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM) will help tackle reduction in energy use, by providing a new tool to measure the power used by electric motors.
• Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive (UWWTD). WRc reappointed by the European Commission DG Environment to support UWWTD  implementation over 3 years.
• Guidance for Laying Pipelines in Brownfield Sites.  WRc win UKWIR project to develop guidance for Developers, Self-Lay Organisations, Water Undertakers and Consultants in brownfield sites.
• Getting to the heart of the blockage problem. Funding secured from EPSRC for a 4 year Engineering Doctorate Research Engineer to study the mechanisms of sewer blockages.
• National Sustainable Drainage Standards. WRc help Defra to produce draft standards and guidance on National Sustainable Drainage.
• Advice to the Australian Capital Territory and Land Authority (ACTPLA) on technical regulation.
• GIS Model for River Trent. Severn Trent Water award contract to develop a new GIS SIMCAT model for the River Trent Catchment.
• Defra investigates the risks of ingress into water distribution. Defra award WRc a contract to monitor pressures in 6 water distribution systems for a year with the cooperation of local water utilities.
• UKWIR have commissioned WRc to undertake an Assessment of the whole life benefits of pressure management.
• Monitoring Water Quality in Distribution Networks. Three companies collaborate with WRc on a new method using dissolved oxygen (DO) to give information on water quality risk and mixing in networks. 
• Ongoing support to South East Water's "Savings on Tap" trial. WRc complete a 5th phase of monitoring work in conjunction with South East Water for their "Savings on Tap" trial in Kent.
• Optimising GAC Regeneration frequency. Four companies work with WRc to develop a software tool for predicting GAC bed life. This will allow regeneration frequency and operating costs to be reduced.
• WRc NCET offers Frameworks for REACH services
