Updating Civil Engineering Specification for the Water Industry
(CESWI) 6th Edition
The Civil Engineering Specification for the Water Industry - 6th Edition (CESWI) is widely used across the water industry in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Water UK’s Standards Board has agreed that it is necessary to update CESWI to reflect new standards and working practices, together with new technologies and more sustainable options.
As for all previous editions, WRc will be drafting the 7th edition, with the support of a working group of water utility experts. Work on redrafting will commence in April 2010. The 7th Edition of CESWI will be available in hard copy and electronic formats early in 2011.
In preparation for this redrafting, WRc are requesting comments from any interested parties on CESWI 6. Comments should be sent electronically (preferably as a Microsoft Word attachment by email) to ceswi@wrcplc.co.uk or by post to Sarah Wilcox, Technical Secretary – CESWI, WRc plc, Frankland Road, Swindon, SN5 8YF.
All comments need to be received by 7th April 2010.
