Welcome to the March edition of our Newsletter

Defra is now taking action on the recommendations from Sir Michael Pitt's review of the 2007 summer flooding.  WRc is playing a leading role in the pilots for the new Surface Water Management Plans.  These pilots will utilise the latest advice on Sewerage Risk Management from WRc.  We have also been working hard to produce updated guidance on the design and construction of sewers and of SUDS schemes.  Our STORMPAC software has been updated to incorporate the impact of climate change on design rainfall.  Finally, we have been helping CLG to examine the costs & benefits of using permeable areas as well as updating planning regulations.
