CIWEM: Diffuse Pollution Conference, SOAS, London (20 June 2013)

March 24, 2013 Categories: Events

It has been over a decade since many of the big point source pollution problems were addressed and the scale of diffuse pollution was realised.  Over that period there have been a wide range of projects, not least a diversity of ‘catchment’ approaches that have fundamentally altered the way we are tackling diffuse pollution problems.  The aim of this conference was to set out the policy drivers, emerging trends and understanding on the scale of the problem and whether we are making progress.  It then focused on the delivering of cost effective practice and what form this should take, and how lessons can be taken forward into policy and investment programmes.
