Concentration Heat and Momentum Limited (CHAM)

Concentration Heat And Momentum Limited [CHAM] was founded in 1976 by Professor D Brian Spalding, a world-renown pioneer of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques.  CHAM’s primary software product is called PHOENICS which is a general-purpose CFD package for modelling processes involving fluid flow, heat and mass transfer, chemical reaction and/or combustion arising in industry or the environment.  Its application to the water industry includes the steady-state or time-dependent simulation of water-borne pollution; effluent releases in seas, rivers and estuaries; mixing, concentration, circulation and residence time within drinking and waste-water reservoirs; flows over weirs and through chambers; debris accumulation, tidal flows and so forth.   CHAM provides a comprehensive consulting service for these water-related applications.
