To support their pumps initiative, Burdens have recently announced majority shareholding in specialist pump installation and service company Pumpac, who operate throughout the UK.

At the WRC open day, Burdens will be exhibiting a water boosting set, the Domopac, manufactured by Pumpac. The Pumpac Domopac domestic cold water booster set with integral break tank is designed for use in domestic and commercial applications where the existing mains Supply is inadequate. The Domopac is unique in combining the recognized industry standard of energy efficient variable speed pump control with contemporary design. This means the unit offers excellent performance whilst being aesthetically appropriate for installation within a domestic environment. As with all Pumpac products the build and materials are of high quality making the unit suitable for use in more commercial situations e.g. commercial kitchens, bin stores or plant rooms.

The unit uses a submersible pump which has enabled Pumpac’s designers to maximize storage capacity whilst minimizing overall dimensions. Installation is particularly straight forward with the connections to both incoming and outgoing mains being accessed from the top. All plumbing passes through the top of the tank eliminating any risk of leakage and making all components of the Domopac accessible by removal of the top panel only.

The Domopac is suitable for most domestic applications with selection from a wide range of pumps. Where greater storage is required, the Domopac Duo twin tank unit can be used, this provides the option to use a second duty pump or a standby pump as a backup.

All Domopac units are designed to meet the requirements of The Water Regulations, all materials in contact with water are WRAS Approved and a Type AB Air-gap is a no-cost option making it a very viable solution where Category 5 fluid protection is required.

Key Features and benefits of the Domopac include:

  • QUIET – COMPACT - RELIABLE
  • EASY TO INSTALL
  • SIMPLE TO OPERATE
  • COST EFFECTIVE
  • VARIABLE SPEED ENERGY EFFICIENT PUMP
