WRc has developed two training courses covering various elements of Part G (sanitation, hot water safety and water efficiency) of the Building Regulations. The training courses are: “An Introduction to Part G of the Building Regulations” and “Part G and the Water Calculator”. These courses are designed to provide a clear understanding of Part G and how the regulations can be used and applied.

WRc supported Communities and Local Government (CLG) in developing the new Approved Document G which came into force on the 6th April 2010. Changes have been made across all parts including cold water supply, hot water supply and systems, as well as the introduction of water efficiency and hot water efficiency for the first time.

We have a long history of providing specialist training to water utilities, building control bodies, manufacturers, plumbers, architects and other organisations in the construction industry. Our philosophy is that training should be interactive and practical. Therefore, wherever possible we place a strong emphasis on using real-life examples and complementing theoretical tutorial sessions with practical exercises.

Courses can be run either at WRc’s premises in Swindon, at client offices or any other location that suits and are typically run for groups of 6 - 15 people to facilitate an informal and relaxed training style. During our courses we encourage participants to raise issues of concern and welcome the opportunity to answer questions informally during breaks.

If you want to focus on a particular section of Part G, WRc can provide a bespoke course based upon a range of six individual modules. Course content, pace, timing and duration are flexible and can be adapted according to your needs.
